Takara Bear and Catapult Castle Legend Artillery Castle Play Set from 1994 by Takara USA. Set includes Bear, Catapult, Plush "Stone" and more.
We've searched far and wide and have been unable to find anything comparable. Particularly the PLUSH CATAPULT!
The play set box doubles as the Castle and has a flag and turrets that fit into slots in the box. It also has a drawbridge (note there is minor tearing from one of the drawbridge strings - as pictured).
This Bear Knight is outfitted to protect his castle! He is fully-jointed plush and stands 6" tall. There is a seam label on his tush. He's wearing a felt helmet, tunic and collar - all of which can be removed. The tunic and collar both have hook and loop closures. Weapons include a wooden sword and plush Catapult with a felt stone.
The plush catapult stands 5" tall. It is a working catapult - the board see-saws on the fulcrum and propels the stone into the air when pressed. The plush wheels are functional and SPIN. There is a seam label on the base of the catapult.
There are no stains, tears or missing plush on either the Bear Knight or the Catapult. The felt helmet, stone, tunic and collar do not show any signs of wear.
The cover photo shows 2 bears, but only one is included in this lot. Not sure if it originally came with 2 or if there were other single bears that could be bought in the series.
